Epsilor to Display Advanced Lithium-ion 6T Battery Together with Marvin Land System APUs at AUSA 2018
Epsilor’s 6T battery, which offers the highest energy density in the world, will be presented for the first time in the US.
Washington DC, October 4, 2018 – Epsilor, a globally recognized manufacturer of batteries and chargers for defense applications, will showcase its 6T battery, together with Marvin Land Systems (MLS), who will be presenting their range of custom-designed Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), at AUSA 2018, which will take place in Washington DC on October 8-10, 2018.
Epsilor will be presenting its 6T battery, which can be integrated into a wide range of military vehicles, at Marvin’s Booth #1560. The high energy, high power density battery can replace the incumbent Lead-Acid batteries while providing substantially more energy within a smaller volume and weight footprint.
With its 1,000 discharge cycles, Epsilor’s 6T battery is the optimal energy storage solution for a wide variety of new armored and military vehicles as well as for drop-in replacement in existing vehicle fleets. This new 6T battery offers 4 times more energy in just half the weight of modern lead-acid 6T batteries.
“We are happy to cooperate with Epsilor and offer state of the art technology in the field of military energy,” said David Shafa, VP of Business Development at MLS. “Lithium-ion is the future of battery storage and compliments our APU solutions.”
“We are excited to offer our 6T battery to the US military market. AUSA 2018 provides us with an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities together with an industry leader like Marvin Land Systems,” said Ronen Badichi, President of Epsilor. “Our best-in-class battery will pioneer the proliferation of Li-ion into the military vehicle market.”
