Epsilor to showcase li-ion 6T batteries for armoured vehicles at the LAND FORCES 2022
eCastle, which represents Epsilor in the Australian defence market, will present Epsilor’s COMBATT lithium-ion 6T NATO-standard batteries at the LAND FORCES International Land Defence Exposition, which will take place in Brisbane, Australia, on 4-6 October 2022.
The ELI-52526B rechargeable battery is an ideal solution for armoured, military vehicles and heavy-duty applications as it offers four time more energy than an AGM 6T Lead Acid battery.
Epsilor’s 6T battery offers the following advantages:
- 1,000 charging cycles and five-year operational life
- Drop-in replacement of Lead-Acid batteries
- Smart battery with self-balancing and self-charging capability
- Serial and parallel interconnectivity with additional batteries supporting group operation
- Unique high current charge regulator that supports high power alternator feed, surges, and unequal SOC in battery cluster
The 6T battery, alongside Epsilor’s other smart military and professional batteries and chargers, will be presented by eCastle at stand 4V23, Hall 4, at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre.
“LAND FORCES 2022 is an excellent opportunity for us to showcase Epsilor’s 6T batteries,” said eCastle’s Managing Director Rob Webb. “These batteries offer an excellent solution for the heavy energy requirements of new armoured vehicles, which the Australian Army is currently examining.”
“We view Australia as one of the most promising markets for 6T batteries taking into consideration the massive procurement programs of the Australian defence forces (ADF),” said Merav Kolody Shubeli, Epsilor’s Marketing and Sales Director. “The recent Project Land 400 is of great interest, and I believe that Epsilor’s batteries offer the best solution for an army that has acknowledged the advantage of Li-Ion batteries.”
Epsilor batteries are already in use by several NATO armies, including those of France, Italy, Canada, Germany, Poland and Singapore. Israel’s IDF is also using the batteries.
