Epsilor Electric Fuel is celebrating its 35th anniversary. As a matter of fact, we were one of the startup-nation’s first startups.

After operating for many years in different fields, Epsilor Electric Fuel took a step to enter the medical device industry. The company offers a complete line of standard and custom battery packs and chargers for emergency, surgical, therapeutic, and other healthcare applications.

Using the experience gained in the military field Epsilor Electric Fuel developed a line of rechargeable batteries in order to support the growing need for Lead-Acid battery replacement in various industries and markets.

During the years Epsilor Electric Fuel has established its position as a cutting-edge technology provider for high end applications.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were planning in the late 90’s their first multi device digital soldier systems.

Epsilor Electric Fuel was the first company to introduce an integrated soldier power management system in the world, developed together with the US ARMY.

In 2001 Electric Fuel realized that a cellphone is becoming an integral part of the human being who owns it, and that a dead battery is unbearable.

Electric Fuel strengthened its position as a provider of military batteries in 1998, after winning a contract from the US Army to provide it dismounted soldiers with high density battery packs. Soon after, the new batteries were shipped to support the US forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Electric car vision and the high energy and power density of Li-Ion technology are standing in the center of the e-mobility revolution.

In 1996, Electric Fuel entered the aviation and the marine markets, through rapid development of water-activated survivor locator lights for aircraft and ships.

Epsilor entered the military market during the first Gulf war, in 1991, as part of the Israel Defense Forces unprecedented campaign to distribute millions of gas masks to the entire Israeli population.

In the early 1990s, Electric Fuel was among the first companies globally to demonstrate battery powered electric cars, based on novel Zinc-Air battery technology that combined high energy density of some 400 Wh/kg, with affordable pricing.
