At the Forefront of the Electric Car Revolution
In the early 1990s, Electric Fuel was among the first companies globally to demonstrate battery powered electric cars, based on novel Zinc-Air battery technology that combined high energy density of some 400 Wh/kg, with affordable pricing.
Drawing huge global attention, dozens of our trucks drove across three continents. 40 trucks of the German Post delivered mail across Germany; a demonstration truck drove from the Netherlands to Italy, crossing the Alps; another truck drove from London to Paris passing under the La-Manche tunnel, and an electric bus drove along the Las Vegas strip and near Capitol Hill.
The company’s electric vehicle (EV) batteries broke all international records for energy density, range, and battery refueling time. Our EV was even the first in history to get a speeding ticket form the German Police officer.
